Naan Khatai recipe

Onion Rings

The Indian subcontinent, notably India and Pakistan, is where Naan Khatai originated. It’s a delicious biscuit using Dutch and Persian baking skills. Ghee, wheat, sugar, and cardamom are among the traditional components. Naan Khatai is a favourite delicacy with tea or coffee during festive occasions.

  1. Icing sugar: 1 cup
  2. Ghee: 1 cup
  3. All-purpose flour: 1 cup
  4. Baking powder: 2 tablespoons
  5. Gram flour: 2 tablespoons
  6. Semolina: 2 tablespoons

Steps to follow:

  • In a bowl take sugar and ghee, mix them well in with the help of a whisk.
  • Then add the other ingredients and knead the dough.
  • Let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Then add vanilla essence to it and mix well.
  • Take the dough and make a small circle of it. 
  • Apply egg yolk to the dough.
  • Cook it for 15 minutes on medium to low flame.

Serving:

Serve it with tea.
